Missing automatic refresh or update in FileS tab

Linux
WIndow ‘FIleS’:
After changing ‘Hash Algorithm’ or changing Parameter ‘Flag Duplicates’, ‘Hidden Folders too?’,… there is no automatic refreshing / updating the result table.
May a ‘Start’-Button would be helpful-

Fair point. The user is currently expected to re-select the folder again using the same button as used the first time. Then the recursive hashing will be recomputed with whatever settings are in force now. But I accept that is perhaps not that obvious. I will incorporate the change.

Actually, having thought this through several times, it’s a bit too difficult to implement given that nobody except one person has ever requested it. Everything ties to that single button. The user may change the state of one check box, or multiple ones, so at what stage do I re-trigger the button action? I could add a second button that appears if one of those checkbox state changes, but then that same button would have to do the same as the first button which means duplicating the code.

At this point, it basically requires a re-design and total overhaul of the “FileS” tab, which is not necessarily undue, but at the moment, it’s a bit too much work with not enough benefit. I’ll keep it in mind, but for now, issue closed.
