QuickHash-GUI - A cross-platform data hashing tool for Windows, Linux and macOS
QuickHash-GUI is a cross-platform open-source data hashing tool for Windows, Linux and macOS. Originally developed for Linux in the early 2010s, it was gradually expanded to support Windows and Apple Mac computers. First hosted on Sourceforge for a few years from 2011, then in AWS since 2016. The website remained there until October 2026. During that time, QuickHash-GUI recorded over one million downloads. However, the ongoing costs and maintenance requirements of operating a dedicated website have led me to move software distribution to GitHub for now (and perhaps inedfinately). The latest available release is QuickHash-GUI v3.3.4 (2023) , which can be downloaded from the project's GitHub releases page. Future releases might encompass efforts to better suit the enterprise, including enterprise licensing, but that is an ongoing ambition currently.
